ANIPH reaches regional stakeholders through sustainability events in Murcia

Our project continues to strengthen its outreach activities by engaging with industry representatives, researchers and innovation actors.

On 2 June, CETEC participated in Circularmente 2026, a corporate sustainability event organised by the Regional Development Agency of Murcia (INFO) in collaboration with CETENMA and the Isaac Peral Foundation. The event brought together companies and organisations committed to advancing sustainability and circular economy practices across the region. During the event, CETEC introduced ANIPH to attendees through project dissemination materials, highlighting its innovative approach to replacing conventional fossil-based plastics with biodegradable alternatives for healthcare applications.

Just two days later, on 4 June, CETEC and CETBIO took part in “Harvesting the Future: How to Turn Your ‘Waste’ into the Biomaterials of Tomorrow”, an event organised by Cajamar and Plataforma Tierra. The session showcased the work being carried out at the PHVB production centre and its pilot plant, demonstrating how renewable biological resources and industrial by-products can be transformed into valuable biomaterials through biotechnology.

During the event, the partners highlighted how these developments contribute directly to ANIPH’s objectives. The production of bio-based PHAs serves as the foundation for the project’s biodegradable wound dressings, illustrating how innovative bioeconomy solutions can be translated into practical healthcare products with reduced environmental impact.

Through participation in regional and international events, ANIPH continues to promote its vision of healthcare products that are designed to care for people while safely returning to nature at the end of their life cycle.
