ANIPH and MAGICBIOMAT launch joint webinar series
Starting on 26 February, the webinar series will highlight advances in bio-based, circular, and biodegradable materials.
The joint series, organised by ANIPH and our fellow project MAGICBIOMAT, will explore how AI, design, manufacturing, and policy come together to drive new alternatives to conventional plastics, focusing on technologies and processes that enable programmed biodegradability and improved circularity, reflecting the core objectives of both projects.
The first webinar of the series will take place on 26 February 2026.
Titled “Circular by Design: Sustainable Manufacturing of Next-Generation Biomaterials”, the opening webinar will focus on how circularity can be integrated into biomaterials from the earliest design phases. Through applied examples and research insights, the session will address key challenges linked to scalability and sustainability, supporting the broader transition toward materials designed to return safely to nature.
Speakers include Kevin O’Connor from (University College Dublin), Yuanyuan Chen (Technological University of the Shannon), and Salvador Garcia (CETBIO), with introduction and moderation by Cristina Blaya (CETEC).
