UGR
The University of Granada (UGR) is a public university founded in 1531 and located in the city of Granada, southern Spain. It comprises four campuses, including the Parque Tecnológico de la Salud (PTS), which promotes innovation through collaboration with bio-health companies and supports biomedical research and quality healthcare.
The commitment to quality research has placed the UGR in prominent positions in the different national rankings, with 365 research groups, 580 active research projects and 36 projects for the provision of scientific infrastructures of the National and Andalusian Research Plans, with a joint budget of more than 106 million euros. In the international field, the UGR is firmly committed to participating in the calls for proposals of the European Union Framework Programme, obtaining a total of 48 projects, with a total funding of 13.50 million euros.
The groups of Advanced Therapies: Differentiation, Regeneration and Cancer and BioNanoMetals belonging to the UGR have a fundamental role in the development of the ANIPH project, being representative of the medical sector and carrying out the manufacturing of the ANIPH wound dressings by 3D printing, the development of probiotics@cellulose, and the medical testing to ensure the new products are safe for human use.
